The project involves the reconstruction of the roof terrace of the "Galleria Riga" shopping center, creating an architecturally outstanding and functional all-season pavilion and recreational area complex. The aim is to create a new, attractive public space in the historic center of Riga that harmoniously fits into the city's roof landscape and complements the existing buildings.

The project solution involves the construction of multiple pavilions under a unified, sloped roof that organically connects the new volumes with the existing roof structures. Modern materials have been used in the finishing – wooden and metal panels, composite decking for the terraces, and corrugated roofing, which resonates with the surrounding environment. Large glazing and transformable walls ensure maximum enjoyment of the views and adaptability of the spaces to various weather conditions.

Functionally, the terrace offers various zones – larger and smaller pavilions for restaurants or events, a sports activities pavilion, as well as publicly accessible viewing platforms that serve as a business card for the shopping center. The connectivity of the terrace sections has also been improved, ensuring environmental accessibility.

As a result, a high-quality, multifunctional roof terrace is created, offering a unique enjoyment of the Riga panorama and new recreational opportunities in the city center, respecting the context of the UNESCO World Heritage site.
