The project provides for the establishment of a new Disaster Management Center in Daugavpils, ensuring modern infrastructure for the needs of the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) depot, as well as space for other Ministry of the Interior (IM) institutions.
The architecture of the building is designed from two main volumes – a taller block for the VUGD depot garage and a lower administrative section. The visual image is emphasized by the contrast between the massive, exposed concrete part of the depot with wide, glazed doors and the reddish fiber-cement panel cladding of the other functional areas.
The area is being landscaped with separate accesses, parking lots, a VUGD maneuvering area, greenery, and a VUGD training tower with a climbing wall, ensuring full environmental accessibility.
The new Disaster Management Center in Daugavpils will serve as a modern and efficient base for operational services and other IM institutions, enhancing their operational capabilities and response.
