In the center of the Rīga Imanta residential area, a shopping complex is gaining new life through a targeted reconstruction that combines functional, aesthetic, and environmental accessibility improvements. The main highlights of the reconstruction are the expansion of retail spaces, the relocation of the main entrance, the integration of stairs and an elevator for easy access to the second floor, as well as the renovation of the facades and roof, preserving visual harmony with the surrounding environment.
The new single-story extension with a flat roof canopy spatially connects the public entrance, bike parking, and play area with a safe, rubberized surface. The tonal range of the facades is subtly light, with terracotta accents in the blinds, referencing the color palette of the neighborhood.
The project also includes new landscaping, an expanded sidewalk, and additional parking spaces, optimizing pedestrian and vehicular flows. Environmental accessibility solutions and universal design principles ensure comfortable access for all visitors. The result is a modern, aesthetically balanced, and community-oriented shopping center that organically fits into the urban structure.
