The aim of the project is to strengthen the infrastructure of Jēkabpils Regional Hospital by providing comprehensive, sustainable, and integrated health services to reduce the spread of infectious diseases and promote compliance with epidemiological requirements.

As part of the project:

·         Construction of the new gallery
A new 58-meter-long gallery was built, connecting two hospital buildings – the second floor of the Internal Medicine Department and the second floor of the Inpatient Building.
It will ensure convenient movement for patients with special needs and hospital staff, including transporting patients in beds. The gallery included evacuation stairs, which will improve safety for both patients and staff.
On the side of Andrejs Pormaļs Street, the facade of the gallery was visually coordinated with the existing panel of the inpatient building, creating a unified and harmonious architectural solution.

·         Reconstruction of the operating block
The reconstruction ensured more efficient provision of surgical services. Spaces were created including an operating room, recovery room, handwashing area, corridor, instrument processing room, and changing room.
An X-ray machine was installed in the operating room. Materials with lead coating were used for the walls, ceilings, and doors to provide protection against radiation.
Durable, shock-resistant, and easy-to-clean materials compliant with all hygiene and safety requirements were used in the finishing of the rooms. A medical gas connection system was also created.
